Details:
I was out shooting wide angle astro north of Terlingua, Texas this week in the Big Bend region of Texas. I saw the alerts of the Kp8 and decided to point my camera to the north just to see if I could see anything. At first there was a faint red and purple band and then just after 11pm these pillars just expolded into view. Taken at 29°32'N 103°31'W.
