Details:
Tonight, motivated by the images of Sebastian Voltmer, I tried to capture the Mercury's sodium tail. I don't have an dedicated filter (~589nm) like him, but I managed to get something almost perfect for tonight. I used the Baader Orange 570nm filter with an UV-IRcut filter to get a bandwidth from ~570 to 680nm, not ideal but sufficient to get the sodium tail. Of course the clouds were hanging near Mercury but I managed to get 7 images of 30sec at ISO800 and stack them, using an Canon 6D with TS-Optics65Q APO f/6.46 on StarAdventurer mount. Hint's of the tail were visible even in the raw frames, but after the processing it was clear that I captured it.
