Details:
I had been tracking the outbreak of auroras and had my camera ready, when a line of storms came through from the north from sunset to 10pm. I had a break in the clouds coming at 11pm and managed just a few exposures before the clouds came back. I couldn't see auroras with the naked eye, but the faint purple in the northern sky showed up in the pictures. Let's add Maryland to the Aurora list for the event! I will use different exposure settings next time (higher ISO), but I was in a rush! Hopefully there will be more to come this solar cycle. Details: Pentax K3ii and a Rokinon 15mm @ f/2.4. 20s exposure ISO800.
