Details:
Another great aurora night despite the quarter moon being high up near the zenith and just a week after the big G4 storm. I saw just after dinner (7:30pm MDT) that the predicted solar wind stream seemed to have arrived a little early with winds up and over 600km/s. Arrived onsite at 9:00pm MDT and the aurora were already out. Didn't expect to see too much with the moonlight washing out the aurora display but I was pleasantly surprised at how bright they were. They were still going strong when I left at midnight. Some beautiful colours were captured by the camera that I couldn't see with the naked eye. Even a coronal aurora right next to the moon straight overhead!
