At sunrise this morning, March 26, 2023, I imaged the spotted sun rising over the Sierra Madre mountains overlooking Marikina City, Philippines. I used an unfiltered Canon 6D DSLR camera with a Canon 100-400 mm f/4.5-5.6L IS lens , Canon2x extender (800 mm), 1/4000 sec, f/81, ISO 100. For comparison, I also imaged the Sun with a TMB 90 mm refractor with a Herschel wedge, Imagingsource DMK51AUO2.AS camera with 0.5x reducer at 8:58 AM PST.
