Details:
As soon as the CME impacted DSCOVR, I drove just outside the core of the light pollution to observe the results. Due to the non-cooperative Bz, the impact did not produce spectacular auroral displays. However, the bands of northern lights, along with some faint pillars, were visible throughout the entire time I was outside. At times, it looked like a row of Pi (π) was hanging in the sky on this Pi-day impact. Pentax K-1 II with 15-30mm Pentax HD lens.
