Details:
Comet ZTF was observed under 9/10 Bortle 4 skies. Temperature was 52F, RH 15% with scattered mid-level clouds in the area. The ion tail and dust tail appeared to finally show significant fading during the past 24 hours. The ion tail was hardly visible in the starless comet image using 49x120s sub images but was not in the fixed star image of just 7x60s image (left). Mars is the brightest object. Comet ZTF is now moving 3 degrees / day. Tech Specs: Nikon d7100, Nikkor 180mm f/2.8 @ f/3.5, iso 1600, cropped, Orion Sirius EQ Mount, PixInsight. Taken between 7:23PM to 9:11PM MST. This will probably end my observations due to weather and fading Comet ZTF. This comet didn't disappoint over the past 2 months.
