Details:
The full Snow Moon was rising tonight so I decided to take a few photos. The Moon was a beautiful gold colour. There were a few bands of cloud passing through the images. I was surprised by the level of atmospheric distortion. Mare Crisium is quite stretched in the first photo. My wife commented that it looked like the Moon was wearing a little hat. Photos taken with a Canon 6D MKII DSLR and Canon 100-400mm telephoto lens.
