Details:
While a lot of nices detailed comet images are made using advanced equipment (like telescopes) under optimum conditions (dark sky), I had another approach using a relatively simple set-up (wide-angle lens with large aperture f/1.8) and tried to catch the comet in my backyard in the middle of a town with significant light pollution. I was surprised to be able to capture the comet during 2 nights (second night even under cloudy conditions) and to see the fast movement of the comet relative to the stars. This movement could even be seen by making a star trial images (stacking images over 30 min time) where you can see that the comet trail is not in alignment with the star trails!
