Details:
This morning, with the sun about 35 degrees above the horizon, I photographed this spectacular new sunspot. Despite being very close to the solar limb, I was able to capture an image sharp enough to observe it in detail. To take this picture I used a Sky Watcher Maksutov 180 telescope with a Baader film filter, a 2X Powermate, a Baader Solar Continuum filter and a Player One Apollo-M camera.
