Details:
Mars has been such a wonderful beacon in the evening sky, positioned perfectly among the bright stars of the Winter Sky in Taurus. I had to capture it at its closest approach to Earth at only 50.7 million miles. Seeing wasn't the best here in Southeastern Pennsylvania, but Mars never ceases to impress with the Syrtis Major region front and center. I used a Celestron EDGE HD C9.25 and a 2x Barlow with a ZWO ASI290mm camera, IR610RGB.
