Details:
My friend called me from a sound sleep to let me know the aurora was going off. I haven't checked the forecast in a while because of some consistent bad weather and winds. The sky was open for a few hours and well worth it as the solar winds were so strong and pulsating purple bursts throughout the sky and overhead.
