Details:
Another Icelandic night that surpassed expectations. We had a faint glow on the northern horizon starting shortly before 8pm and not a lot more. But just after 11 o'clock, the glow brightened and split into several broad bands of light. The show far exceeded the modest forecasts for the evening. The motto I've come to live by when aurora hunting here is "not every clear dark night - but any clear dark night."
