Details:
I imaged Mars on 08-16-22 from my observatory in Manorville, NY. My imaging setup was a ZWO ASI224 MC camera with a UV/IR cut filter and a ZWO (ADC) 1.25" Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector adapter in a Baader Planetarium Carl Zeiss 2x Barlow Lens all in a MoonLite focuser. My telescope was an Edge HD 14'' OTA on a AP1600GTO mount. The seeing was between a 3/5 to 4/5. This was a morning I will remember for a very long time. As I was looking at my laptop motitor in live recording mode, It was a reminder to me Earth is hurlling through space on an orbital path at the same time I am imaging another planet hurlling through space on its orbital path. Some facts about Mars > Mars and Earth have approximately the same landmass. ... > Mars is home to the tallest mountain in the solar system. ... > Only 18 missions to Mars have been successful. ... > Mars has the largest dust storms in the solar system. ... > On Mars the Sun appears about half the size as it does on Earth. Kind Reargs To ALL 🙂
