Details:
Here's a composite image featuring a few of this year's Perseid meteors. While the bright 97% waning gibbous Moon inevitably washed out some fainter meteors, there were still many bright meteors to be enjoyed. There is also an exceedingly faint hint of aurora borealis on the lower left side of the image. The auroras were not readily visible to the naked eye.
