Details:
Noctilucent Clouds from near Beaghmore, Co. Tyrone last night (Aug 11th/12th). A rare late season display, possibly related to rocket launches seeding the Mesosphere with ice crystals, this ranks in my personal observing records as the latest season NLCs I've ever seen since I began observing them in 2000. Images are very rushed, literally pulled over at side of road and jumped into some marsh land. Type 3 brightness, 7 degrees high, 60 degrees in length, veil and bands structures. 18mm and 50mm lenses, ISO800, 5 secs, then 4 secs ISO400.
