Details:
Scrolling through the photographs I took of the beautiful noctilucent clouds which were visible in the night of 20 to 21 June 2022, I noticed this image taken at 02:54 CEST (UT+2 hours) towards ENE. The upper edge of the noctilucent clouds was emerging from the Earth's shadow and coloured distinctly red. I suppose it was caused by red diffracted sunlight traveling at a very shallow angle through the atmosphere. Local sunrise was still over two hours away.
