Details:
My 2nd Saturn image of 2022. I used a EdgeHD 14" OTA on a AP1600GTO mount with encoders. I used two ZWO cameras to get this image. The 1st was a ZWO ASI242cm with a UV/IR cut filter to get color data and a ZWO (ADC) 1.25" Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector adapter in a Baader Planetarium Carl Zeiss 2x Barlow Lens all in a MoonLite focuser. The 2nd camera was a ZWO asi290 with a green filter to get luminance data. You can also use a red filter. I was told you can even use no filter also called white light if the seeing is very good. I tested it with green again in average seeing. Saturn was imaged at about 33° at 4:38am EST. I have to wait for Saturn come into view over the trees from my observatory. Saturn will max at 34° this year in Manorville NY. I will have to use my ZWO (ADC) Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector adapter. I hope to get better seeing weather so I can get better data to process. Kind Regards To ALL 🙂
