With a little delay, here comes my gleaning of the Total Lunar Eclipse 2022, May 16. For us in Western Germany, this Lunar Eclipse became Total when the sun was almost up. From a height of less than 5 degrees above the horizont, the moons disc began to disappear visually in a blue sky incredibly fast. I decided to keep triggering, altough there was nothing more to see. My mount was following the moon, thank god. As the raw data images just show a blue image with almost no information. To my surprise, further imaging brought it to light that there was much more to discover. And voila, I found the silhouette of the Moon's umbra which is quite cool, as I didn't expect it. The last image of my "blind shooting" was made at 03:30 UT (2 minutes after Totality begun), with a sun at -1 degree below the horizont and the moon, nearly ready to set, 2 degrees above the sout-west-horizont. I can only assume that, without the clouds, I would have gotten more pictures. I had a nice view of Chateau Marlbrock/France due to my observing place, only 10 meters away from the French border.
