Details:
Moon in Volcanic Sunset 3rd May. Mutare continues to experience frequent brightly coloured volcanic sunsets due to stratospheric aerosols from the January 15th eruption of Hunga-Tonga volcano. Here is a selection of pictures of the three day old 7% illuminated waxing crescent Moon taken on Tuesday. See how much the illumination increases and how much higher and further to the right the Moon will be on the next day. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset and night scenery modes.
