Details:
Mercury’s tail taken through an Astro-Physics 175 Starfire refractor telescope at the ATHOS Centro Astronómico. For the tail I used a filter tuned to the orange-yellow glow of sodium. The brightness of the tail reached its maximal brightness because of the Doppler shift (Sodium D-lines)! That’s a very interesting fact. Insert captured through the C14 of the ATHOS observatory on La Palma.
