Details:
Spring's primary asterism. It connects together 4 prominent stars rising in the east on a spring evening as it gets dark: Arcturus in the constellation Bootes, Cor Caroli in Canes Venatici, Denebola in Leo, and Spica in Virgo. However, it can be viewed at times other than spring evenings. The view shown, for example, was taken late last November just before dawn when a waning crescent Moon passed by Spica.

It can be good to remember, when it's a frosty November morning, that spring, warmth, and renewal will eventually return to the earth. As you read this, hopefully that promise is being fulfilled for you today.
