Details:
Saturn and Mars were paired about half a degree apart (a nominal moon diameter) when this picture was captured at 5:39 am EDT, an hour before sunrise and about 12 hr before they would be in formal conjunction. Brilliant Venus was appx. 7° east of the pair, so the three of them were splendid visually. Jupiter was also observed visually, close to the horizon at 6 am, my first sighting of it since solar conjunction on March 5. Taken with a Canon EOS RP mirrorless digital camera and a Canon 200 mm f/2.8L lens on a fixed tripod. Exposed 1 second at f/3.5, ISO 3200 and daylight white balance. It's cropped vertically to a 16:9 ratio yielding a field 10.2° wide x 5.7° high
