Details:
As it says elsewhere on this page, "Yesterday, April 3rd, a filament of magnetism whipsawed out of the sun's atmosphere. On the way out it carved a gigantic canyon of fire." (https://spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=04&month=04&year=2022) As luck would have it, I had another image of this region acquired an hour or so earlier than the posted one. So here is an animation of the filament development over that time period.
