Details:
I have many times captured airglow, dynamically spread in the night sky, with the help of gravity waves - but recently I have stumbled upon an article about, potentially, new type of clouds.
In the article, scientist and photographer, Jürgen M Lobert, presents this phenomena as Infralucent Clouds, due to the fact as they only can be captured with a camera (or filter), that has an IR-pass. As I have a camera sensor, which captures IR + visible light, I was able to capture this phenomena over Denmark a couple of night ago.
I have mentioned earlier that I have captured the similar phenomena in the night sky over Denmark many times over past 5+ years, and I always thought that it's just colorful airglow among the atmospheric gravity waves. But the things that confuses me, looking back at my photos, after reading the article - is that I have also experienced seeing just the gravity waves with no sign of capturing colors of airglow!
This is very interesting and confusing at the same time - but this is why i love photographing the night sky!

I am also adding recent pictures of the similarly captured pattern in the sky from the last month.
