Details:
Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai volcano eruption shockwaves visualization over Europe/Africa based on Meteosat 11 - SEVIRI IR 6.2 μm channel data. Derived from image differences calculated between two consecutive images in time. Differences in temperature brightness between succesive images are low (~2K) but the 'waves' are still visible and quite impressive and intricate. Time interval: 15 January 15:30 UTC to 16 January 06:00 UTC Also another 'bright' event is noticed at the begining of visualization near Africa west coast (?). Made after original idea/work of Simon Proud(NCEO) and Eumetsat.
