Details:
After several days of heavy snow and rain, and with overcast skies in the forecast for most of Iceland, it didn't seem there'd be much chance to see the lights this evening. But we got a bit of clear skies and before long a magnificent arch began glowing from east to west. Soon it split into multiple streamers and lit up the night! An unexpected treat and a reminder that the aurora can put on a show when you least expect it!
