Details:
The scope on its go-to mount found the comet again first in the evening twilight. I ran 4 sequences of 25 subs and used the best sequence here. Both coma and tail seem more prominent in this photo than in the one I took 2 days ago--one can make out a 15' fan-shaped tail with a narrow spine of light down its central axis.
Visually, though, it was just as tough to see tonight with 8x56 binoculars as it was a couple days ago; if I looked away, I then had to search for it again, and after about 15 minutes of hide-and-seek the contrast got too low and I lost it altogether.
Labelled and unlabelled versions.
