Details:
Sitting waiting, watching movies and checking the solar wind was my night and morning, at 0430 hrs MST the Bz dropped out and I was out the door. The solar wind was travelling at around 450 km/s so I figured I had about 1.25 hrs to get out and set up. As I was setting up the aurora band came out and the icy pond provided a good foreground for the short lived event, the aurora was active and battled the Sun until 0745 3/4 of an hour before the sun rose.
