Details:
The aurora forecast Sunday evening was not particularly encouraging, but it never hurts to be prepared. When local conditions unexpectedly went to K-six, I grabbed my camera gear and paid a visit to a local road improvement project. The result was this shot, taken with a full-frame Canon 6D Mk. 1 at ISO 2000 and a 24mm Sigma Art lens at f/2.0. Even the mundane can seem magical when seen in the proper light.
