Details:
On 29th September dense smoke haze from dry season burning enabled video and still photographs to be taken without a solar filter of the late afternoon Sun with two sunspot groups (AR2877 lower and 2880 upper) setting behind the summit of Murahwa Mountain. A bonus was the appearance of wisps of smoke from an active fire on the summit wafting in front of the lower sunspot group as the Sun set. If the sky is clear the Sun can be observed setting behind the rocky summit of Murahwa Mountain twice a year from my location in Murambi East within 10 days of the Spring and Autumn Equinoxes (either on 29-30 September and/or 12-13th March). Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
