Details:
At 06.27 LT on 06 Sep 21 the Sun rising above a hill in Cecil Kop Nature Reserve was observed being encroached by a bank of early morning mist and cloud which partially obscured it. A close-up photograph of the cloud filtered Sun reveals four Sunspot Groups the positions of which closely match those shown in a rotated relabelled version of the spaceweather SDO-HMI Daily Sun image for 06 Sep 21 being superimposed on it. The density of cloud required for the sunspots to be photographed in natural light without any additional solar filter persisted for just a few seconds. In earlier images the Sun is uniform white in later ones all detail is obscured. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode with up to x40 zoom magnification.
