Details:
We traveled northwest of Fairbanks, AK to try and get out of constant cloud cover and avoid holiday weekend travelers and this was our reward. Horizon to horizon walls of dancing color from midnight through twilight without stopping. Some of the bands were among the most colorful I've seen with greens, pinks, reds, purples, blues, and black strands. It's the 8th night in a row we have seen aurora, with most of those being strong displays, up in the Alaskan interior.
