The Chinese Space Station, can now be called "Tiangong" Space Station. "Tiangong" means "Heavenly Palace" and Chinese Space Station, joins the International Space Station, the project led by the United States and Russia that has been steadily occupied for more than two decades. China's new Space Station is now occupied. Astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo are onboard, preparing the outpost for expansion. On June 29th the crowded station flew over Manorville, New York, where I recorded this picture from my observatory.I even imaged the Remote Manipulator System (RMS) and many solar panels. See was poor. “This was the view through my 14-inch telescope as the Chinese Space Station soared over my backyard," at 17,500 mph and 260 miles above Earth. I said I would keep trying to get a better image to share with you. "This time I got to see the solar panels in this 77° pass on 07-07-21. The astronauts Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo arrived on June 17th for a 3 month mission to bring the Tianhe-1 core module into service. When they are finished, the station will be ready for more. China plans to launch two more modules and link them to the Tianhe-1, turning the existing 16.6m-long, 4.2m-wide cylinder into a Mir-class facility. The final product will weigh nearly 70 tons with living quarters, science labs and even a Hubble-class telescope to view the cosmos.
