Details:
After sunset I went up to my viewpoint to watch the setting Venus. As the sky darkened, Mars also popped out of the twilight glow, and to my surprise some beautiful NLCs joined the show as well. The first picture was taken a couple of minutes before Venus disappeared behind the distant hills (on the bottom right part), while Mars can be seen just below the tree shaped NLC on the left side. The second pic shows a ,,golden NLC'' low on the horizon: its usual blue colour was filtered out by the atmosphere, leaving only yellow and orange hues (there are pics taken by observers at higher latitudes where the same NLC patch was higher in the sky showing it in original bluish colour). This is a special and rare beauty for me since the lowest parts of the sky are often filled with normal clouds or thick haze, preventing the observation of NLCs so low above the horizon.
