Details:
My first sighting of NLCs this season, and on a perfectly clear Summer Solstice, my friends and I watched NLCs form from the grounds of Beaghmore Stone Circles in Co. Tyrone, N. Ireland in perfect sky conditions and for others who where present at this ancient site it was their first experience of these mysterious clouds. They appeared soon after sunset, almost over head with silvery-blue bands, veil annd waves, type 4 brightness and even type 5, they vanished fast except for one trail glowing over the tree tops which looked indeed like meteor smoke.
