I was lucky again to record and image the Tianhe-1 Core Module to the China Space Station from my backyard in Manorville, NY on 5-19-21.The Max Pass was 78° moving 17,500 mph at 9:00 pm EST with the Sunset only at -9.4°. I could see the first quarter Moon was out at 56° to the west. The same direction the time for Tianhe-1 to come from. The Moon did not help to spot Tianhe-1. I did not see many stars out at the time. I was determined to stay at my telescope to try and image Tianhe-1 again. Then I saw it in an almost star less sky. I also added another image of Tianhe-1 from the recording on 5-06-21. It was added to my animation for all to see. China launched Tianhe-1 module, and is the start of ambitious two-year station construction effort. The space-based construction effort requires 10 additional launches from 2021 through 2022: two more module launches, four crewed missions and four cargo vessel flights. The module, called Tianhe ("Harmony of the Heavens"), on April 28" was atop a Long March-5B Y2 carrier rocket from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site on the northeastern coast of south China's Hainan Province. Tianhe-1 is the foundational module for China's first Space Station. The module is billed as the largest spacecraft the nation has ever developed; it's 54.4 feet (16.6 meters) long, 13.8 feet (4.2 m) across at its widest point, and had a mass at liftoff of 22.5 tons. Three types of Long March carrier rockets will jointly launch the remaining 10 missions. When completed, China's orbiting outpost will form a T-shape with Tianhe at the center and two other modules, Wentian and Mengtian, on each side, according to Zhou Jianping, chief designer of China's crewed space program. You can find more of my images on my FB page > https://www.facebook.com/philip.smith.5686 Kind Regards ALL
