Details:
After the full Worm Moon rose last night I noticed that there was a lower moon pillar easily visible. I see a lot of sun pillars but lunar pillars are a lot rarer. They are also somewhat ethereal and difficult to photograph. Luckily a band of cloud happened to be in the right location in a few photos to block enough light to make the lunar disk visible without being overexposed. Photos taken with a Canon 6D DSLR at ISO 3200, Sigma 35mm ART lens at f/4, 1/10 second exposure. Photos were taken handheld as I did not have a tripod nearby. https://watcheroftheskies.ca/
