Details:
On Sunday 14th a very thin young (1.5% illuminated) crescent Moon appeared above Murahwa Mountain half an hour after the sun had set at almost the same location. This Moon which was only 18 hours old was at first very difficult to see above the bright glow of a sunset twilight arch which fortunately faded in time for it to be observed setting behind the Mountain at 6.43 pm. Camera: Hand-held and then tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS40 in sunset mode.
