Details:
On 1-07-21 I imaged from backyard observatory in Manorville NY, USA the SpaceX Crew-1 Dragon and SpaceX CRS-21 Cargo Dragon. They were both docked to Harmony Node 2 on the International Space Station. The seeing conditions was poor and can be seen in this image. The Moon was out at 39°. The ISS Max Pass was 50° at 6:05am EST. It was a cold windy morning below freezing. I did not think it was going to be cloudy. My weather Clear Sky Chart was wrong again. I thought to myself. You have everything setup. Lets just see if I could see the ISS and have the clouds act like a defuser of bright lite, with the Moon out in the clouds and the bright ISS. I was able to see the ISS and get some images. They are not my best, but it was good to see what I could get from this kind of weather pattern. My imaging configuration was an OTA Edge HD 14 ′′ telescope with an Baader Red 610 nm Longpass Filter - 1.25" on a ZWO ASI1 74MMM (mono) camera and a TeleVue 1.8X barlow lens. All on a custom built Orion EQ-G mount and custom software. Kind Regards. To see more of my images go to. https://www.facebook.com/philip.smith.5686
