Details:
In Yellowknife's Old town, around the houseboats on Great Slave Lake, around midnight Dec 13. It was -36C, windchill down to about -45. I made 48 exposures over about 30 minutes and got one decent strike, with a titch of aurora to the north. The battery gave out after this valiant effort, and the camera was making weird noises, and my nose was freezing so I quit too. DETAILS: 30 seconds, ISO 640, f3.5, Sigma 14 mm lens on Canon 5D MkIV
