Details:
Just before dawn (5:16 am) a vivid Orionid passed by Betelguese. I captured a lot of Orionids on peak night but most were small green and below visual mag in the Tucson AZ foothills sky. This image was captured with a Nikon D850 and Sigma 20 mm F1.4 lens. Note red Betelguese has recovered its brightness compared to its fainting in the beginning of 2020.
