Details:
My best result from the September 15 Mars imaging session, and my best for this apparition. I almost didn't go out last night with the seeing predictions giving poor values. It wasn't so. It was actually one of the best night in a long time for planetary imaging. This time, I've also made a few measurements on the image and found that I've reached the maximum theoretical resolution of my telescope...and now I want a bigger one :) Note the strange double-peak and double-shadow on the terminator; might be some cloud, as it is best seen in green and blue. Strange whatsoever... Mars ia very well placed now after midnight, and northern observers can benefit from the high altitude of the planet to acquire high resolution images.
