Details:
The planet Mars was nicely visible in a clear sky. This image is obtained from 2000 frames stacked and taken with a C8 telescope+ barlow x2 + camera ZWO ASI224MC. With the solar illumination of the planet not yet at opposition, the main landforms are highlighted thanks to their shadows. In the image the various topological structures of the planet are quite visible with the northern paler plains , the southern highlands (darker) and one of the volcanic region with Olympus Mons and the Tharsis region with its 3 massive volcanoes: Ascraeus, Pavoris and Arsia Mons. It was fascinating to be able to identify those main structures.
