Details:
My alarm on my phone went off to alert me of this conjunction, but there were many clouds early in the evening due to storms in the area. I rushed out and found it clear so I quickly gathered together my camera and tripod to catch the closest approach of these two bodies. Nikon D300 and 300mm, ISO1000, 1/250 second exposure @ f/11. The brightness of Mars was streached a bit to make it more obvious.
