Details:
As in Europe, we here in Alberta are having to contend with those pesky noctilucent clouds that keep getting in the way of views of Comet NEOWISE. These images are from the morning of July 7, when another bright display of NLCs appeared early on and then extended higher and higher as the Sun's altitude below the horizon decreased. Even though the comet was ascending, so were the clouds, so the comet always appeared trapped in the NLCs -- an icy comet caught amid the icy clouds! It made for a fine sight regardless. These are images with a 200mm lens+1.4 Extender, a 135mm lens, and a panorama with a 50mm lens, showing the extent of the NLC display and Venus.
