Details:
What a night! Noctilucent clouds seem to be almost completely unpredictable and surely enough, without any warning, a huge outbreak of these silvery clouds appeared out of the blue over Europe in the evening of July 5th. From my point of view at 50°N, 20°E the NLCs seemed to be divided into two separate banks of clouds. The show continued next morning (albeit not so brilliant) accompanied by the beautiful (and surprisingly easy to spot) comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE. As a bonus, I was able to observe Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, a +0.5 magnitude meteor and the ISS flying overhead. All of this on a single night!
