Details:
Captured quite a brilliant, yet distant, display of noctilucent clouds on the night of June 21, and almost missed them! In typical displays I've always had to drive a considerable distance to even photograph these. Most of those drives ended up being a few miles one way to a clearing. Fortunately, this time around, all it took was walking to the end of the driveway! I would not have known about them had a good friend messaged me on Facebook about them. I had nearly dismissed them as being too faint (I did see them, rather faintly, before that) and not worthy of capturing. Then a few minutes later, the sky lit up. Well worth that little extra effort!
