Details:
We had a fine opportunity to see a display of northern lights and noctilucent clouds together in the same sky, on Monday night, July 8/9. Both peaked in intensity about midnight, with the northern lights shining through the clouds. A few rays formed in the aurora but overall it was a quiescent arc across the north, but a surprise nonetheless. The NLCs were quite bright at left here but faded by about 12:30 am. This is a panorama of 6 segments with a 50mm lens and Sony a7III camera. Taken from near Gleichen, Alberta, Canada.
