Details:
The evening began with some NLCs developing high in the sky as darkness gradually approached, but they eventually faded and disappeared. However as the night progressed a band of bright cloud could be seen approaching from the NE horizon. After an hour or so this stronger belt of clouds began to slowly rise above the NE horizon. The display persisted, improving steadily for several hours after midnight.
